January Events
I started to write a reflection on how I feel about our current state violence and social unrest, but I think it will take me more time to gather my thoughts for you. In the meantime, remember each day is an opportunity for us to show up—for ourselves, our loved ones, and our communities. Individually we cannot accomplish much in terms of societal change. But our actions do matter, even when they seem small.
Upcoming Events
If you’re in West Michigan, I have a few events this month you might be interested in. Please join us if you can—every event I’ve been able to do has been a unique and encouraging experience, mostly because of all of you who show up and create the conversations and connection we all need right now. So thank you!

“Rifting Apart: How Loss Can Lead to Renewal and Healing”
Sunday, January 25, 9 a.m. at C3 Spiritual Community, Grand Haven, MI
A “rift” is a metaphor for how loss feels—like tectonic plates of earth pulling apart. When we’re in the middle of this kind of grief, it’s difficult to see how life could be good on the other side. But the experiences that wreck us can also be the catalysts for transformation. All of us will experience loss in our lives, but what if the things that break us are the very things that could transform us?
Join me at the C3 Spiritual Community for a morning of good conversation!
Sunday, January 25, 2 p.m. at The Bookman, Grand Haven, MI
After spending the morning with the C3 community, I’ll be hopping over to The Bookman for a meet-and-greet, author Q&A, and book signing. I’m thrilled to be doing my first Grand Haven bookshop event!
Thank you, as always, for being here, and never forget: Your story matters.
